Pre-Service IV Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pre-Service IV/Auth Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete pre-registrations by verifying insurance information and validating referrals and prior authorizations
• Submit and monitor pre-authorizations while ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
• Provide price estimates for healthcare services and resolve pre-service authorization denials with referring providers

Required Qualifications

• One (1) year of post high school business or college course work preferred
• National Association of Healthcare Access Management Certification preferred
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a customer service role preferred
• Medical Terminology proficiency by exam and one year of admitting, billing, or registration experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent education
• AA Degree with six months of healthcare experience may be considered
