Team Lead Care Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Team Lead, Care Specialist UM - REMOTE.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of non-clinical staff, ensuring workload balance and performance evaluations
• Oversee daily operations, including case reviews and communication of authorization decisions to providers and members
• Participate in hiring processes and collaborate with leadership to resolve issues and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 - 5+ years of experience in managed care, specifically in utilization management operations
• 1 year of internal experience within the company
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD, and CPT coding
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
