Utilization Management Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Management Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with UM policies and procedures while processing treatment authorization requests
• Accurately review and process daily assigned UM referrals in accordance with health plan guidelines
• Maintain relationships with health plans and medical directors while ensuring exceptional customer service

Required Qualifications

• High School Graduate; Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration is a plus
• Minimum of two years of experience in a managed care environment, preferably with an IPA or MSO
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (RVS, CPT, HPCS, ICD-9)
• Proficient with Microsoft applications; experience with EZCAP is preferred
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
