Affiliate Account Manager

DealNews is looking for an Affiliate Account Manager with 3+ years of affiliate marketing experience who sees that brands, and their budgets, are increasingly steered towards highly-incremental partners like DealNews. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience working for content or “deal” publishers where they successfully hit sales goals by selling flat fee or CPA/CPC solutions to brands and their agencies in the home & garden, electronics & computers, and clothing & accessories product verticals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fully manage the day-to-day operations of your portfolio, composed primarily of brands’ affiliate programs (our “clients”), in order to achieve your quota. This includes identifying stakeholders, prospecting, writing proposals & IOs, and post-sale service
• Through a consultative approach, be an empathetic communicator who listens attentively, identifies the client’s goals, and adapts our solutions to their pain points effectively, iterating quarter over quarter to grow accounts to their highest potential.
• Nurture and strengthen our partnerships through proactive, continuous relationship management via email/Slack, Zoom, and in-person
• Communicate performance results and strategy recommendations to clients and secure buy-in from decision makers farther up the food chain
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on your promises to our clients
• Enter all activity and contact information into Hubspot, consistent with our procedures
• Collaborate with the rest of the BD Team by helping to troubleshoot stuck opportunities, ideate on winning strategies, share client feedback, and celebrate wins
• Strategize with the CEO to develop new solutions and new messaging for our clients
• Lead or assist as needed with all activation, payment, and compliance communication with your portfolio
• Occasional travel for in-person meetings and trade shows

This position can work remotely in the US from any of the following states: AL, GA, IL, NC, NJ, NV, NY, PA, TN, VA

Annual base salary range of $75,000 – $90,000 commensurate with experience. This position earns a regular sales commission with potential OTE compensation of $125,000 annually.

ABOUT YOU:
• You have at least 3 years of directly-related experience at a publisher where you’ve sold performance advertising, or 5 years of experience at an affiliate network or agency where you’ve sold solutions to brands.
• You are an expert in affiliate marketing. That includes: flat fee, CPA, and CPA+CPC; common ROI goals like RoAS and NTF customers; last-click and incrementality; and the difference between brands, agencies, networks, and subnetworks.
• You outperform your peers in activity (as measured in your company’s CRM).
• You are an effective communicator who is always quick to respond.
