A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances for medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen patients for eligibility for state and federal assistance programs
- Assist patients with applications for appropriate assistance programs and provide guidance throughout the process
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient accounts and follow up on applications until benefits are secured
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
- Experience with medical coding or billing is preferred
- Proficient PC knowledge with typing skills of 30-40 wpm
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
