Senior Manager, Detection Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Manager, Detection Engineering & Purple Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of detection engineers
• Own the detection strategy and roadmap, prioritizing based on threat intelligence and product needs
• Build and lead the Purple Team function, conducting exercises to test and validate detection capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a formal management role
• Deep understanding of adversary TTPs, MITRE ATT&CK, and detection engineering principles
• Proven ability to translate high-level vision into actionable roadmaps
• Experience leading teams through high-pressure situations effectively
• Motivated by the challenge of building programs and scaling teams
