Job Summary
A company is looking for a Leave of Absence Specialist to oversee and manage the leave of absence process and support workers' compensation claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve/deny leave cases based on medical information while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and privacy guidelines
- Administer leave requests, determine eligibility, and maintain accurate leave files while communicating updates to managers
- Coordinate with the Benefits Team and ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws and regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in benefits administration or related field required
- Experience with short-term disability and FMLA claim processes is a plus
- Certified Leave Management Specialist designation preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
