Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Pharmacy Technician II to evaluate and authorize prior authorization pharmacy requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine medication appropriateness and communicate decisions to relevant staff
• Communicate prior authorization criteria and formulary alternatives to healthcare professionals
• Monitor staffing levels and serve as a mentor and training resource for team members

Required Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma
• Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements
• 2+ years of pharmacy experience
• In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and medical terminology
• Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and MS Office Product Suite
